Street Health is a non-profit community based agency that improves the health of homeless and under-housed people in Toronto. Their work is focused in the neighbourhood around Dundas and Sherbourne Streets, an area with the largest concentration of homeless shelters and drop-in centres in Canada.
Street Health was wanting to refresh its easily updated Northern Village website by refocussing the content and providing a more robust home page. Also, wanted to make sure that it could be displayed well on all types of screens from cell phone through to wide screen.
Northern Village duplicated the existing website to provide a draft website from which the additional content could be added, and reorganized, so the site better reflected the range of services provided by Street Health. The blog was brought into the Northern Village website editor away from WordPress. The rich home page includes a gallery depicting services, the mission and the main services provided by Street Health.
