Wildlife Habitat Canada
Client:
Wildlife Habitat Canada (WHC) is a national, non-profit, charitable conservation organization that provides funding for projects and initiatives related to habitat conservation and study. WHC also administers awards for responsible environmental stewardship and gives the public the opportunity to donate through their popular Stamp and Print Program which feature such celebrated artists as Robert Bateman.
Theme:
Wildlife Habitat Canada came to Northern Village to update their website, to provide visitors with the ability to provide a more relevant experience of what WHC does. The new site is organized by location instead of by year, to give the public the opportunity to learn about projects and initiatives close to home. As well, emphasis on the Stamp & Print program which features art by renown Canadian Artists provides high quality images of the art over the 25 years of the program.
Implementation:
Each part of the website was analyzed to find the most effective way of presenting the information.
- For the Stamp and Print program, good sized images are placed in the text, and available products are displayed in a gallery.
- Projects have been organized by province to allow visitors to find projects in their area of interest
- Conservation Awards include an online nomination form.
