TasteYourFuture.ca
The client
TasteYourFuture.ca, developed by the Alliance of Ontario Food Processors (AOFP), promotes awareness about careers in the food processing industry. The industry is the second largest manufacturing sector in Ontario – only the
auto industry is bigger. It directly employs over 110,000 people and is Ontario's farmers' biggest customer. This site is the Alliance's second project with which Northern Village has been involved.
Client goals
Northern Village was approached by the AOFP to move its existing website over to one that was easy to update. The client wished to retain much of the look and feel of their previous site, although it also wanted to take advantage of the chance to reorganize and update some aspects.
Implementation
Northern Village transferred the Alliance's pre-existing site into VillageCMS. Some features of the previous website were modified and functionality updated where necessary. Although the design was mostly retained, the banner and testimonials were set to randomly change from page to page. A self-assessment quiz that matches those interested in food processing jobs with potential careers was updated by RKD Web Studios, and implemented by us on the website. The client updated the content after the website was moved over.
