Ontario Food Industry Environmental Coalition
The client
The Ontario Food Industry Environmental Coalition (OFIEC) is a coalition of food industry associations representing Ontario’s food and beverage processing and input supply sectors. OFIEC was formed with the help of the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) as a "one window" access point between government and industry.
Client goals
The OFIEC primarily sought a website that would disseminate information related to environmental issues in the food and beverage industry. The organization needed a site to which it was easy to upload new content, given the nature of informational and educational websites that often need to keep up with continual changes in policy and practice. It also wanted to incorporate a format into the website that would allow them to stay in touch with members and others interested in the industry and current issues.
Implementation
To allow ease in editing and uploading new content, Northern Village constructed the website using Village CMS, a content management system that allows you to effortlessly update your website whenever, and wherever, you want.
Since one of the focal points of every website we develop is a custom design, we work with skilled designers to craft the look that accentuates your message. In the OFIEC's case, the organization had already selected its own designer and writer, disktop.ca, for the project. As always, Northern Village welcomes the opportunity to work with new talent.
A twitter feed was also placed on the home page to fulfill the OFIEC's communication objective.
