Career Destination MANITOBA for Newcomers

Learning Agents worked with the Government of Manitoba to create the Career Destination: MANITOBA for Newcomers website. The site offers online career guidance to skilled newcomers, particularly those having to requalify in order to find employment in their regulated fields.

Theme:

To guide those interested in emigrating by sharing case studies of skilled immigrants, told in their own words. The challenge of the Career Destination: MANITOBA site was to present a wealth of information in a user-friendly way. Photos and sound clips add character to the site.

Implementation:

This site highlights the capabilities of using Village CMS, a CMS for static websites. Content editors worked from Winnipeg, Toronto and Guelph to complete this 2000+ page site! Using "facets” profiles within the site can be navigated by Occupational Group, Country of Origin, Occupation and City/Town of residence, without the need of a database or an interactive CMS.
