CCLCS

The client

CCLCS, the Canadian Centre for Language and Cultural Studies (Toronto), is a leader in training for Teaching English as a Second Language, and was one of the first programs to be recognized by TESL Ontario and TESL Canada. Since 1991, they have trained over 3,000 teachers who have since gone on to teach across Canada and around the world.

CCLCS has welcomed thousands of immigrants and refugees to Canada by providing high quality English language instruction and orientation to help newcomers settle and adjust to life in Canada.

Client goals

The challenge for the CCLCS website was to profile two substantially different services, training ESL teachers and providing ESL classes to immigrants, and to convey the organization's inclusive, community oriented atmosphere.

Implementation

The website design by Raquel Reyes highlights TESL Training, Learning English and the CCLCS Community in an easy-to-navigate, easy-to-update website. Michael Caplan + Associates provided project management and writing/editing. The website is maintained by CCLCS staff.
