Go Red for Mothers

The client

Ever wanted to be a fiery red-head? This is your chance! Bracelet of Hope, which is working to fight AIDS in Lesotho, wants you to go red this Mother's Day (actually May 9, 2011).

Throughout Africa, women are the most affected by HIV/AIDS. Instead of "seeing red" about their situation, GO RED instead. You can register as a participant to dye your hair red for a day or to sponsor a Go Red participant. If you register to Go Red, a Bracelet of Hope staff or volunteer will be in touch with you to give you your Go Red kit containing red hair spray, red and white bracelets, and information sheets.

Client goals

The Bracelet of Hope campaign organizers wanted to make it easy for people to register as participants or sponsors for this new Go Red for Mothers fundraiser. If it could all occur right within the main Bracelet of Hope website, all the better.

Implementation

The main Bracelet of Hope website is made using Village CMS. The Go Red for Mothers page, however, is developed and managed with DoJiggy fundraising software. But we weren't seeing red here. It's no problem to seamlessly integrate the Go Red page--from which people can register as a participant, sponsor someone, view the participant list, or learn more about the event--into the Bracelet of Hope website.
