Wellington-Waterloo Holistic Network

The client

The Wellington Holistic Network (WWHN) is your primary resource for professional holistic and wellness practitioners in Wellington County and Waterloo Region. All members are dedicated to ongoing learning, accreditation and professional business practices.

The Network also allows holistic practitioners to share resources. It has partnered with the Wellington-Waterloo Community Futures Development Corporation, which assists the Network with membership and administrative services.

Client goals

The Network's primary need was to replace an older website with one more effective at promoting, as well as attracting more, members. The new site had to be easy to navigate, as well as to update as new members join. A fresher, more attractive design was also sorely needed.

Implementation

The website was developed using Village CMS, an easy-to-update web authoring software. Content was moved over from the old website and re-organized in the basic Village CMS template by EditMe Communications, a Northern Village partner. NV then added a fresh, calm, spiritual design to reflect the work of the Network. Most importantly, member profiles are simple to add as the Network grows (the actual profile pages are hidden from the navigation, but links appear on the Practitioners page).
