The client

Posie Packer is a unique company that has been on the cutting edge of floral processing, providing innovative and reliable floral processing machinery. Lately, however, the company has also branched out into solving problems related to labeling of produce and other merchandise. The Produce Bag Labeler provides a quick and reliable machine to apply a pre-printed label (to a bundle of quality plastic bags used to package produce. The machine can be extremely convenient if your labels are often date/time-sensitive.

Client goals

The owners of Posie Packer wanted to migrate an old, very out-dated website into one which was more modern and updatable. The website needed a total overhaul in look and feel, as well as a substantial reorganization of content to make it more easily navigable. Because the company was expanding its line of products, there was also the issue of how to present machines that were used for very different purposes.

Implementation

After lots of consideration, the client decided to go with the concept of having two websites, one for the machines that process flowers, and the other for the machines that label produce and merchandise bags. The customer bases for each type of product differed enough from each other that it was most convenient to present the products separately. The websites, however, share a similar new and fresh appearance as well as a much more effective structure. Newly designed top banners clearly connect the two websites.

Both sites were developed using Village CMS, which makes them easy to update. Both also have contact forms that provide the company with useful information about clients' needs.
