The client

Estill Energy, a Guelph company, offers custom designed solar system solutions to businesses and residences in Southwestern Ontario. They make it easy to enter the exciting and quickly developing new field of solar energy. We at Northern Village get all warm and tingly at the thought of working with companies at the forefront of the renewable energy industry.

Client goals

Estill Energy approached us to create a website that was fresh and as contemporary as the solar technologies industry. That the site had to be easy to update was a given. The founder, David Estill, wanted a website that was engaging and educational, one that would convey the current state of the art, and the ease with which customers could start benefiting from solar.

Implementation

Northern Village built the website using Village CMS, a content management system that allows you to effortlessly update your website whenever, and wherever, you want. Since one of the focal points of every website we develop is a custom design, we work with skilled designers to craft the look that accentuates your message. In Estill Energy's case, the company already knew who it wished to bring into the project to work on the design, and so Northern Village worked with Lawless Creative, the company's choice. We're nothing if not flexible. An interesting educational aspect of this website is the solar tracking feature that shows the power produced in real time from a 2.6kW rooftop installation in Guelph.
